‘Because of Their Unbelief

Mathew 13:58 (KJV) “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.”

The New Testament of the Bible holds so many accounts of the miracles Jesus performed in his life time but one thing that is worthy of note is that the least number of miracles Jesus performed was said to be in his own country, with the reason being that they lacked belief in him.

Belief is the strongest ingredient needed in order to make things happen. When you strongly belief in a thing, your faith in that thing will be unshakable and faith is that which you need to make your belief manifest.

Remember the case of the woman in Mathew 9:20-22 which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years? she believed that if she can touch the hem of the garment of Jesus, she will be made whole and when she did touched the hem of his garment, Jesus turned around and said to her “Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith had made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.” (Mathew 9:22 KJV)

So many times, people seek and desire to be made whole but their unbelief stands as a barrier. The people of Nazareth believed Jesus was just like them because he lived with them and they even know all about his family, from his carpenter father to his sisters and wondered where he had gotten his wisdom and the mighty works from (Mathew 13:54-58), this was the reason for their unbelief and as a result of their unbelief, Jesus did not much mighty works in Nazareth.

Only your faith can make you whole. If you belief you cannot achieve a thing, no matter how much you try or how close you get, you will always miss it but when you belief, even when it seem things aren’t adding up, hold on to your belief and desire to achieve as much as you desire to breath for ONLY YOUR FAITH CAN MAKE YOU WHOLE.

PRAYER: Father, I belief I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me, Help my unbelief oh Lord.
