“I am now giving you the choice between life and death, between God’s blessing and God’s curse, and I call heaven and earth to witness the choice you make. Choose life.” – Deuteronomy 30:19 (GNT)
It is Gods will for us to live a good, peaceful and joyous life, that is why he gave us his only son; Jesus Christ to die for our sins.
John 10:10 (GNT) says “The thief comes only in order to steal, kill, and destroy. I (Jesus) have come in order that you might have life—life in all its fullness.”
As a child of God, we are to live life to its fullness. Remember, he will supply all our needs according to his riches in glory (Philippians 4:19).
Satan’s strategy is to disguise our wants to look like our needs by making it look as if our life depends on it and we can only get more from life when we get what we want.
Just like a cell phone (mobile phone) what it need is the ability to make calls, receive calls and messaging, those are the need of a cell phone and the reason why it’s called a phone, adding the ability to play powerful games can be seen as its wants.
Without the ‘wants’ in a cell phone, it still remain a cell phone but take out the ‘need’ and you have just an expensive toy with you.
Same way the cell phone works is the say way humans work. Your needs are the basics you need to keep moving. Once you appreciate the basics, then you will be able to give room for your wants to come in as well.
Living life to the fullness is not about having a fat bank account or riding in the most expensive car nor wearing the expensive cloths but living life to the fullness is about living a happy life and living a happy life is appreciating what you have rather than worrying about what you want.
Remember, the things you appreciates, appreciates and the things you don’t appreciate depreciates.
Jesus is the Life…. Choose Life that you may live.
