“But God has shown us how much he loves us—it was while we were still sinners that Christ died for us!” ~ Romans 5:8 (GNT)
‘But God‘ is one of the most powerful phrases in the bible. It is also the most repeated phrase and its importance can not be over emphasized.
Whenever a disastrous message is said, the bible is always quick to remind us that ‘but God….‘ and a victorious message will follow the phrase.
Our hope has been built and it was built on nothing else than Jesus love and righteousness. He gave his life for us while we were yet sinners so that we might live, even when he knew no sin, he died for our sins.
The devil has a way of reminding us of our past and how we are yet to do something that is worthy enough to override the sin completely ‘But God‘ says we need do nothing other than accepting Jesus as our Lord and saviour and since Jesus didn’t die for himself but died for us, then Jesus has taken our sins away and made us free.
