Situations….

“It is the same rain that fell on the bitter leaf that fell on the sugarcane” ~ Yoruba Proverb

Situations are like plain papers, some are printed on while others are not, some are ruled out while others are not, some are rough while others are smooth but what I have come to realize is that the nature of your paper have little or no influence on what you write on it.

In this same way, situations may seem unfavourable, it might even hurt us and try to restrict us but knowing that same situations does not necessarily mean same outcome is a step on the right path.

Life is full of ups and downs, left and rights, lot of turns and curves yet, some people prefer to stay in the same place. It is not like their situation got them grounded, it is more like they are too scared to make a move and have decided to stay where they are.

Your life is not defined by where you are nor by where you are coming from, your life is defined by your actions, reactions and decisions you make. Not what you escaped but what you faced and conquered.

Situations are like rain, they might be the same but just like the bitter leaf and sugarcane, it is what you make out of it that matters.

The nature of a road does not define your destination. If you are determined to get there and you keep moving, you will surely get there.

Ones downfall starts the moment you allow yourself to conform to your situation but rather than allow the situation define you, you should be the one to define your situation.

Take charge, chase your dreams, pay the price, plant that seed, watch it die and grow again. Nurture it, cherish it, protect it, do not let people tell you that you can not achieve it nor that it is impossible cos impossible says I’m Possible so learn to dot your ‘i’s and cross your ‘t’s.

“I am telling you the truth: a grain of wheat remains no more than a single grain unless it is dropped into the ground and dies. If it does die, then it produces many grains.” ~ John 12:24 (GNT)

An idea remains an idea and a dream remains a dream unless it is dropped and worked on.

No one ever said it will be easy but I can assure you that if you will ignore the fear, drop your ego, chase after your dreams, make mistakes, keep learning and don’t stop, it will be worth it all the way.

No matter how sophisticated your pen is, it won’t answer the questions for you,  it is what you know that you will pen down and that is what will be marked and graded. There’s no perfect situation, just timing and it is the outcome that determines if the timing is perfect or not. It is also what you make out of your situation today that will determine tomorrow and shape the situations you will be faced with in the future.
