The Lord Is Coming Soon
“Show a gentle attitude toward everyone. The Lord is coming soon.”
~ Philippians 4:5 (GNT)
Growing up, one of the few things I knew ‘preaching’ to be was spreading the good news that Jesus Christ is coming soon.
It’s been years now and some people are already wondering if Jesus will truly come again or if the second coming of Christ is an individual thing and occurs when one is dead.
The bible says
“But do not forget one thing, my dear friends! There is no difference in the Lord’s sight between one day and a thousand years; to him the two are the same. The Lord is not slow to do what he has promised, as some think. Instead, he is patient with you, because he does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants all to turn away from their sins.
~ 2 Peter 3:8-9 (GNT)
There are signs that have been said will come before the second coming of Christ and those signs include diverse earthquakes, wars and rumours of wars, brothers fighting against themselves, kingdom against kingdom, countries against countries, famine, false prophets, etc (Matthew 24:3-12). These signs are already playing out and they all point to one direction; THE END IS NEAR!
Being a Christian is more than just going to the church, reading the bible, having the words of the Lord on your tongue nor having all things working out for you. Being a Christian is a lifestyle, it involves living a life style of love, peace and hope in preparation that the second coming of Jesus will meet us in good faith.
Jesus Christ is coming soon and the time is at hand, the hour has come and the son of man is fast approaching. Let us be strong in faith and not be caught off guard like those in the days of Noah, who mocked him and said he was wasting his time until it was too late.
“And this Good News about the Kingdom will be preached through all the world for a witness to all people; and then the end will come.” ~ Matthew 24:14 (GNT)
“Be on watch and pray always that you will have the strength to go safely through all those things that will happen and to stand before the Son of Man.”
Luke 21:36 (GNT)
